How 21-year-old UNILAG student stabbed Super TV CEO to death

A 21 year-old undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Chidinma has been arrested by the men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, in Lekki area of the state.

Chidinma, a 300-level student of Mass Communication was arrested at her parents’ residence in the Yaba area of the state on Wednesday night.

She allegedly stabbed the victim, while they were in a room, and made away with his belongings, among is an ATM card, in which she withdrew the sum of N380,000 after killing him.

According to her, they have been in a romantic relationship for four months before the incident which led to Ataga’s death.

She claimed that she was having fun with Ataga, and suddenly, an argument ensued between them, and she stabbed him twice which led to his death.

The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said Chidinma had confessed to committing the crime.

Chidinma was paraded at the police command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday.

The owner of the rented apartment where the incident took place had been arrested, while Late Ataga’s account had been blocked to prevent further withdrawals from it by those taking advantage of his untimely death to deplete the account.
