Following the Federal High Court judgment which ordered Zenith bank to immediately unfreeze the governor’s accounts which was frozen by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ayodele Fayose, the Ekiti State Governor, on Thursday visited the Ado Ekiti branch of Zenith Bank were he withdrew some money from his accounts.
Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti has ordered that Governor Ayodele Fayose’s accounts in Zenith Bank be defrozen with immediate effect.
Fayose personal accounts and those of some of his associates were frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. in June, this year.
In his judgment, Justice Taiwo Taiwo described the EFCC action as illegal, wrongful, unlawful and unconstitutional.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday faulted the order by a Federal High Court asking it to defreeze the bank accounts of Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti.
