Ex-beauty queen, Ibidunni Ighodalo, is dead

Former beauty queen and wife of Lagos-based pastor and founder of Trinity House, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, is dead.
It was gathered that the event planner and marriage counsellor died in Port Harcourt.
A member of the church’s media team, Matthew Osarenren, confirmed the sad news on Sunday.
The deceased, who founded Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, supported couples having difficulty bearing children.
She would have clocked 40 on July 19, 2020.
Her husband, Ituah, who officiated at a funeral on Sunday, hinted his listeners on the death.
“A lot of you know that I really shouldn’t be here. But that is how life is. Around 2’oclock this morning, I received a call that shattered my life, but life must go on,” he said.
A statement by the couple’s families confirmed the sad news.
“The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter, Mrs Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo, who passed away in the early hours of today (Sunday).
“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some privacy during this time,” the statement said.
Ibidunni got married to Pastor Ituah on February 16, 2007.
The deceased founded a non-profit organisation, Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, through which she provided grants for couples who needed fertility treatments, including IVF.
The news of her death was one of the trending topics in Nigeria on Twitter, as many people, including celebrities, paid tributes to her.
It was learnt that during the COVID-19 lockdown, the deceased led her group round the country to distribute palliatives to the underprivileged.
She was also reported to have set up the Enugu Isolation Centre and despite breaking her leg, ensured the job was completed.
She is survived by her husband and two children.
