Canada based Bisi Jagunna extends helping hands to displaced people

Clare Bisi Jagunna, the pretty lady behind the non governmental foundation, Hands Lifting Hearts Initiatives, based in Calgary, Canada is extending her helping hands to the less privileged people in Nigeria.
She says ” our mission is to provide succour and support to women and children that are displaced due to religious, domestic or economic situations in their communities, and this we have been achieving, and we intend to extend to Nigeria. ”
A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, and University of Ilorin before she relocated to Canada a decade and half years back, her interest in social services stemmed from being a volunteer at the children’s department of her church, and the Calgary Women Shelter.
In order to understand how this institution works, she went for further training in childcare and disability management.
Also trained at University of Lethbridge, Clare said her passion to assist the less privileged was what she inherited from her parents, and it increased, while at the church as a volunteer. In her words, she said “My dad was a prominent philanthropist in Ekiti State, Nigeria and I believe that was a propelling force that drove me into assisting people” she said.
Clare has shipped relief materials to Nigeria with the intention of distributing to displaced children and widows.
She is married with children.
