Boko Haram releases abducted pastor, Rev. Zango

Rev. Polycarp Zango, a pastor with the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Jos, Plateau State, abducted by the terrorist group on October 19, while on a journey to a Ministers’ conference in Gombe has been released by Boko Haram; the deadly sect that abducted him.

Recall that a viral video had earlier shown the COCIN pastor in their custody, but he was released from captivity yesterday.

The Vice-Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (Northern region), Rev. John Hayab, said Zango regained his freedom on Friday night.

Details of how and why they decided to spare him life, after killing thousands of people remain a mystery, but the pastor is yet to give details.
The CAN Vice President, Hayab just said:

“We have good news! Rev. Zango has been released from Boko Haram custody. It is celebration galore in the Church right now,” he said.
