Commuters travelling on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, on Tuesday were reportedly attacked by gunmen dressed in military uniforms. The gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, stormed the road from nearby bush before the Sagamu Interchange, en route Lagos, and started shooting sporadically at commuters in the 18-passenger inter-state bus. American rapper and producer popularly known as 50 Cent, Curtis James Jackson III, has announced plans to release a movie series based on notorious Nigerian internet fraudster, Ramon Abass. Best known as Hushpuppi, Abass was arrested in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates in June 2020, for defrauding over 1.9 million people, majority of whom were Americans. Two bus drivers who were dressed in military camouflage along the Eko Bridge yesterday reportedly assaulted a police inspector, Ben Thompson, and an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Caleb Akerele. The drivers were reportedly conveying passengers on a one-way route from Costain to Ijora Olopa in commercial buses, when they were accosted by the traffic officers.
