COVID-19: NCDC registers 203 new infections

Nigeria posted more COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with Lagos state leading the table in infections. The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC), reported 203 additional COVID-19 cases and one COVID-19 related death on Sunday, as the deadly virus continued to rage in Africa in its third wave. Lawyer allegedly brutalized by Lagos Assembly CSO over council poll suit

Yakubu Eleto, a lawyer, has accused some workers at the Lagos State House of Assembly, led by the Chief Security Officer, of brutalising him when he attempted to serve the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, with a suit. Eleto, who spoke on Saturday, alleged that he was beaten to a pulp and taken to the Alausa Police Station, where he collapsed.
