Blackout imminent in parts of Oyo,Ogun,Osun as fire guts transmission station

There is likelihood that Oyo State, and some parts of Ogun and Osun States may experience blackout as the Ayede transmission station of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) in Ibadan got burnt this morning. The early morning fire completely burnt the Transfomer 1B, 150 mva, 330KV/132 Kv located inside the transmission station. Customs: N2.9b cash in 6 bags seized at Lagos airport

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Tuesday announced that it has seized a whooping sum of $8.6 million (equivalent of N2.9 billion) cash at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos. The cash was loaded in six Bagco bags discovered in a bus operated by the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), apparently in the process of being smuggled out of the country.
