N1.7m hospital’s microscope stolen, sold for N5,000

A 30-year-old man, Hamza Sani, has been arrested by operatives of the Kastina State Police Command, for allegedly conspiring with four others to steal a microscope belonging to the Malumfashi General Hospital, in the Malunfashi area of the state. Sani was said to have sold the stolen microscope valued at N1.7m for a paltry sum of N5,000. Lagos government raise alarm over Poisonous ponmo now in market

In a statement signed by Lagos state Director, Public Affairs, Adeola Salako, consumers are warned about the health risk of some cowhide, popularly called ponmo, being offered for sale in the state. 24-year-old man kills father, sets corpse ablaze

Abuchi Onuorah, a 24-year-old man, has allegedly killed his 65-year-old father, Onyiauke Onuorah, in Nando, in the Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State. The 24-year-old was also said to have burnt the corpse of the deceased.
