INEC staff protesting nonpayment of election allowance dispersed with tear-gas

Some INEC ad-hoc staff at the just concluded general elections who were protesting the non-payment of their allowances in Enugu state, have been dispersed with tear gas by police. Eye witnesses reported that the tear gas affected passersby, school children and motorists who ran helter-skelter for their lives.
