Hip-pop musician, Temitope Adekunle, a.k.a. Small Doctor was yesterday released from custody by an Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court, alongside three of his band members on a bail bond of N5 million each. They were counseled to be of good behaviour. Co-defendants in the suit filed by the police are Dare Osho, Sanusi Lateef and Hussein Darego. Scientists in the United States will soon start human trials of a male birth control gel, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced Wednesday. Currently, the only approved male contraceptives are condoms or vasectomies, surgical procedures to block sperm. The communal clashes among four communities in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State have produced many casualties following attacks and counter-attacks by youths in the warring communities. The conflict reportedly started between the communities of Abanwan and Orugbam on Sunday when people were killed as the indigenes of Abanwan reportedly launched an attack on their Orugbam neighours.
