The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has been suspended by FIFA with immediate effect, due to government interference in soccer affairs, the sport’s world governing body said on Friday. FIFA’s decision came after it wrote to the African country’s sports minister expressing “grave concern” about the removal of SLFA President Isha Johansen and General Secretary Christopher Kamara. Dr Matthew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, on Friday said no president of any country in the world could be as irresponsible in the usage of power as a Nigerian president.
