An employee of the Public Works Volunteers in Benin, Edo State, identified as Fred also known as Biggie, has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping a mother of seven to death. The incident was said to have occurred at the Ramat Park axis, along the Benin-Agbor Road, in the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state, on Thursday. Monkey pox: NCDC reports outbreak in 15 states

76 cases of monkey pox has been reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) this year 2018. 37 have been confirmed with one probable and two deaths in 15 states. WHO says Alcohol kills over 3 million people yearly

According to a new report by the World Health Organization, harmful use of alcohol is responsible for the death of around 3 million people per year. The UN health agency’s latest report on alcohol and health pointed out that alcohol causes more than one in 20 deaths globally each year, including drink driving, alcohol-induced violence and abuse and a multitude of diseases and disorders. Police has arrested a 54-year-old driver of the chairman of an outsourcing firm located on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State, after a sex worker allegedly fled with his boss’ Kia Sorento sport utility vehicle valued at N5.4m.
