The name of the new national carrier, Nigeria Air, has been unveiled by the Federal Government. The airline, set for take-off on December 24, is largely private investors-owned, with the government owning only five per cent equity. Dismissed Police officer jailed for receiving bribe from robbery suspect

An Oyo State High Court has sentenced Akanmu Kabiru, a dismissed police officer, to three years’ imprisonment for receiving bribe from an armed robbery suspect, Badmus Akojode. Car snatcher nabbed after stealing 32 vehicles

Olayemi Adeoye, a car snatcher who allegedly specialises in stealing particularly Honda brand, has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command. The state police said the suspect had stolen no fewer than 32 vehicles, adding that the operatives of the command had arrested him many times but he managed to get freedom.
