Chief whip suspended in Ekiti House of Assembly for sleeping at plenary sessions

Mr. Sunday Akinniyi, Ekiti State House of Assembly’s Chief Whip who is representing Ikere Constituency 2, has been suspended for allegedly sleeping at plenary sessions. A statement signed by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Dr. Samuel Omotoso in Ado-Ekiti, said the House suspended Akinniyi over series of allegations levelled against him, chief among which is his sleeping habit. 10 killed in Zamfara gunmen attack

10 people were confirmed dead by the Zamfara State Police Command following the attack in Dutsen-Wake and Oho villages in Birnin-Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
