El-Rufai sues Shehu Sani for N2bn over defamation of character

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai has sued the senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial zone, Shehu Sani, before the state high court. The governor is seeking N500m damages from the senator for each of the four alleged offences, one of which is defamation of character. The total damages being sought amounts to N2bn. El-Rufai was at the state high court to file the suit on Friday. FG Threatens To Withdraw Funding For Bonny-bodo Road Due To Lack Of Cooperation

The Federal Government on Thursday threatened to withdraw funding for the suspended N120bn Bonny-Bodo road project as a result of lack of cooperation by host communities meant to benefit from the project in the Niger Delta. EFCC Recovers N102m For Bank Of Agriculture

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna zonal office,has recovered N102 million diverted from the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) in Kebbi. A statement by the spokesman of the commission,Mr Wilson Uwujaren,said the funds were diverted by beneficiaries of the Central Bank of Nigeria Anchor Borrowers Programme,disbursed by BOA.
